William “Keith” Beane, age 60 of the Bethlehem community passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 3, 2014.  He was born in Caldwell County on September 7, 1953 to William Leslie and Jeroline Bumgarner Beane.  He worked in the shipping and receiving department at CommScope. As a member at Antioch Baptist Church he had served as a deacon, taught Sunday school, and sang in the church choir. His greatest joy was his dogs and horses; he was a true cowboy at heart and at one time had participated in rodeos, as well as giving riding lessons. Besides his father, William L. Beane, those who have preceded him in death are both sets of grandparents: Lester “Red” and Marie Beane; and Ed and Opal Bumgarner. Also his father-in-law: Ernest Little. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 30 years, Cathy Beane; his mother Jeroline Powell and husband, Clyde.  Three brothers:  Brian Beane and wife Rhonda, Kevin Beane and wife Tammy, and Mark Beane.  Nephews:  David, Timmy, and Isaiah Beane; and Nieces: Anna, Grace and Sara Beane. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law: Pauline Little as well as a number of aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends at Antioch Baptist Church on Friday evening, March 7, 2014 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm with the funeral service to follow at 6:00 pm. with the Rev. Mark Morris and Rev. Dennis Spivey officiating.  A graveside committal service will be held at a later date. Pallbearers will be Dirk Austin, David Rudisill, Brian Beane, Kevin Beane, Mark Beane, and David Beane. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the general fund at Antioch Baptist Church at 580 Antioch Church Road, Taylorsville, 28681..
