Jason Lee Bumgarner

Jason Lee Bumgarner, age 57, of Taylorsville, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. He was born in Iredell County on April 24, 1957 to William Harvey Bumgarner and the late Hilda Marie Bentley Bumgarner. Jason was previously employed at Hancock & Moore and he was of the Baptist faith. He liked all kinds of music, enjoyed Nascar, was a talented wood craftsman, and he loved animals, especially his dogs. Along with his mother, he is preceded in death by brothers: Harvey Eugene and Douglas Scott Bumgarner, as well as infant brother, William Harvey Bumgarner. Those left to cherish his memory include his father: William (Bill) Harvey Bumgarner, of Bell, CA; son: Matthew Aaron Bumgarner of Salisbury; sisters: Nancy (Billie) Presnell of Taylorsville, and Melissa (Tia) Mitchell and husband, Benny, of Taylorsville; half sisters: Stacy Medina of CA, and Lou Bumgarner of Arkansas; nephews: Garrett Hefner, Justin Mitchell, and Jordan Mitchell, all of Taylorsville; and great niece: Kayla Hefner of Taylorsville.



Visitation will be Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm at Alexander Funeral Service. Memorial service will follow at 3:45 pm in the chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Watts and Allen Haneline officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Lebanon Baptist Church.
