Joan “Joanie” McGhee Anderson

Joan “Joanie” McGhee Anderson, age 66, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Joanie was born to the late Troy and Irma Wheeler McGhee on June 23, 1956 in Champaign, Illinois. During her free time, she enjoyed riding and camping with horses, muscle cars, painting and drawing. Joanie loved her family and pets and spending time with them.

Including her parents she is preceded in death by her aunt and uncle, Sharon and Jim Knell.

Those left to cherish the memories of Joanie include her husband of 32 years, Guy Anderson, daughter Megan Steele (Wes Matthews), son, Corey Anderson, step-daughter, Kim Minetti (CJ), step-son, Mickael Boyer, granddaughter, Tessa Steele (Dillon Worcester), two step-grandchildren, sister, Penny Harries (Mark), brother, Bo McGhee (Susan), and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 8, 2022, in the Alexander Funeral Service Chapel at 12:00 pm. Rev. Andrew Sharpe will officiate. Inurnment will be with the family.
