Agnes Moore Childers went to her Heavenly home on her 92nd birthday, December 6, 2020. She was born on December 6, 1928 to the late Alvis Edward Moore and Flossie Hendren Moore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Franklin Alexander (Alex) Childers; brother Robert Moore; and infant brother Conrad Moore. Dennis, all of Taylorsville; five grandchildren Kevin George & wife Leslie and Monica Hamby & husband Ricky, all of Taylorsville, Kelly Milward & husband Mike of Charleston, SC, Mathieu Chapman & wife Sallie of Gastonia, and Morgan Chapman & wife Beth of Washington, DC; eight great grandchildren Kamden, Keaton, Myka, Alex, Davis, Lillian, Lucas, and Bennett.

She was a faithful member of Little River Baptist Church and retired from Broyhill Furniture. Agnes enjoyed reading her Bible and working “Word Search” books. She loved her Lord, and all her family. Agnes lived the Christian life before everyone she came in contact with and was a great influence to many people. She loved to cook for her family, for friends, and for Preachers. Everyone enjoyed her coconut cake. She loved sending cards and making phone calls to check up on family and friends. Agnes was a friendly lady, loved talking to everyone and never met a stranger. She will certainly be missed by her family and many friends.
