Alberta Virginia Phillips,

Alberta Virginia Phillips, age 93, of Bethlehem, NC,  passed away in Brian Center Viewmont, on Tuesday, March 08, 2011. Born July 12, 1917 in Bland Co. Virginia, one of eleven siblings, to the late George Alexander, and Virginia Jane Collins Clark, she was a homemaker.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carter Floyd Phillips, one grandson, Donnie Ray Phillips, one daughter, Helen Virginia Dove and two sons-in-law, Harold Myers and Ivan Dove.  She is survived by three daughters, Beulah McIntosh and husband Dean of Newton, NC, Bonnie Myers of Bethlehem, NC and Charlotte Craig and husband Fred of Hickory, NC. Two sons, Roger Phillips of Roanoke, VA and Bill Phillips, of Granite Falls, NC. She has 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Long Point Baptist Church at Spenser’s Curve, in Anawalt, WV., with Funeral Services at the church at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Roseland Cemetery, in Princeton, WV. Rev. Donnie Farmer will officiate.  Local arrangements for the Phillips family are being handled by Alexander Funeral Service, and Memorial Funeral Directory & Cremation Center in Princeton, WV is handling the out-of-town arrangements.
