Alice Weber Shook,

Alice Margarette Weber Shook, age 73, of Statesville, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2016 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was born to the late Joseph George and Irene Bryant Myers Weber on May 27, 1942 in Nassau County, New York. Alice was retired from the Health Care profession as a Nursing Assistant. She loved spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her loving husband of 19 years, Johnny Shook, sisters; Elizabeth Hons & Mary Barbara Peshock, and brother Joseph Weber.

Alice is survived by son Jonathan Queen & wife Tammy of Statesville, daughter Debbie Queen of Weaverville, NC, step children; Tammy Shook of Statesville, Cindy Truax & husband Charles of Taylorsville, two grandchildren; Joshua Queen & Jessy Yount, brothers; John Weber of Mattituck, NY, Arthur Weber of Statesville, George Weber of Styvasant, NY, and a number of nieces, nephews, & special friends.

Visitation is Thursday evening January 7, 2016 at Union Grove Christian from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral service will be Friday, January 8, 2016 at 11:00 am at the church. The family will assemble at the residence of Roy "Frog" Queen, 141 Roseman Ln. Statesville at other times. The body will lie instate 30 minutes prior to the service. The Rev. Allen Lunsford will be officiating the service. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. The family wishes to say a special thank you to Dr. Spongberg and his staff at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
