Alma Marie Bruce Looper, age 95, of Taylorsville, passed away at Valley Nursing Center on Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Alma was born to the late Mack Thomas Bruce and Mary Estie Head Bruce.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edward (Mouse) Looper, seven brothers, Ralph, Troy, Rex, Jessie, Frankie, Jerry, Clifford, and four sister, Elva, Margaret, Mary, and Maxine.
She leaves to cherish her memory six children: Tommy and wife Kathleen, Johnny, Geraldine, Kip & Kim (twins), Jeff and wife Lynn. Fourteen grandchildren: Billy, Lisa, Tina, Michael, David, Scott, Bobby, Lyndsey, Alexa, Adam, Isaac, Sarah, Clint, and Dillion. Twelve great-grandchildren: Shelley, Kylie, Kesha, Candi, Alysha, Annie, Lewis, Sariah, Jerrell, Sixx, Levin, Aiden. Eight great-great-grandchildren: Kenzie, Savanna, Sierra, Isaiah, Mason, Keyon, Kaleaha, and Kaleece and one great-great-great-grandchild: Xander. Three sisters, Sadie, Johnsie, and Hilda. She also has numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be January 3, 2015 at Alexander Funeral Service from 1:30-3:00 pm. Funeral services will begin in the chapel at 3 pm. Burial will follow at Taylorsville Cemetery. Rev.'s Gary Jennings and Tony Daniels will officiate.
