Amy Christine Tyree

Amy Christine Tyree, age 49, born on Saturday, February 22, 1975, in Tiffin, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the Catawba Valley Medical Center in Catawba County. Amy’s passing is a profound loss to her family and friends who cherished her kindness, warmth, and unwavering spirit.

Amy earned her Bachelor's degree Gardner Webb, a testament to her dedication and hard work. She worked as a receptionist at Alexander Counseling and Consulting Services, where her caring heart and compassionate nature shone through as she assisted others. Those who had the privilege of knowing her felt her genuine concern for their well-being, whether they were clients or colleagues.

Amy deeply loved her family and her pets, especially her beloved dog Glenda. Her greatest happiness came from nurturing those around her and ensuring their comfort. She held a profound appreciation for her family bond, exemplified in her tender relationship with her mother, Dottie Hollingsworth (Rudy), and her brother, Todd Steven Tyree (Hannah). As an adoring aunt, she delighted in her roles as aunt to Zach and Mackenzie Tyree, creating loving memories that her family will treasure forever.

Amy enjoyed reading, often finding joy and solace in books. Her faith served as an anchor throughout her life, and she identified proudly as a member of the Baptist faith.

Amy is preceded in death by her father, Steven Glenn Tyree.

A family led visitation will be held Saturday, January 12, 2025, at Antioch Baptist Church from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 pm. Rev. Chance Kuzma will officiate. Inurnment will be with the family.
