Angela Vandyke Brown, age 47, of Taylorsville passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at her residence, following an extended illness. She was born on May 16, 1965 to the late Gary Vandyke and Janet Rhoney Burns. She was a Member and a Sunday School Teacher at Three Forks Baptist Church. She was an inspiration to many and she was prayed for by many on four continents. Including her father, she is preceded in death by her grandfather, Jack Vandyke and grandparents, Clarence and Edith Rhoney. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 16 years, Stephen L. Brown, of the home; two sons - Austin Williams and wife Emily, of Jacksonville, NC and Jeremy Brown, of Taylorsville; her mother - Janet Burns and husband Jack, of Taylorsville; one sister, Tracy Chapman, of Hickory; her mother and father-in-law, Ted and Kady Brown, of Oregon; one grandmother - Mildred Vandyke, of Icard; two nephews - Eric Chapman, of Hickory and Shawn Chapman, of Florida. She also had a numerous number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a loving church family.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 3:00 pm to 4:45 pm at Three Forks Baptist Church and the service will follow at 5:00 pm. Rev. Jack Burns, Rev. Carson Mosley and Rev. Marion Powell will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Faith Fund: Three Forks Baptist Church at 4685 Three Forks Church Rd, Taylorsville, NC 28681.
