Angeline Pennell Reid,

Angeline Pennell Reid, age 88, of Granite Falls, passed away unexpectedly at Frye Regional Medical Center on Friday, July 12, 2013. Born in Alexander County on June 21, 1925 to the late Wade and Dorothy Pennell. Angeline was retired from Aldridge Mills for Shuford where she worked as a Winder. She was a member of Bethlehem Church of God in Bethlehem and enjoyed crocheting and was a avid reader. Including her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Lester Reid, Jr.; brother: Carl Pennell; infant sister and grandson: Darrel Reid Simmons. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters: Elizabeth Icenhour, Brenda Bolick and husband Bill and Phyllis Teague, all of Taylorsville; brother: Otis Pennell of Nebo; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews and Emma Mays, who was a very special nursing home friend.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 14, 2013 from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Calvary Chapel of Taylorsville, off Liledoun Rd with funeral services to begin at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Mike Carswell officiating.  Serving as Pallbearers are Doug Hamby, David Bolick, Kevin Bolick, Kirk Simmons, Rodney Icenhour, Brian Smith and Jeff Smith. Honorary Pallbearers are Brandon Hamby, Dustin Hamby, Chris Smith, Elias Smith and Austin Smith. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Church of God Cemetery in Bethlehem.
