Anthony Gene Breedlove, age 56, born on January 11, 1968, in Catawba County, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with lung cancer on November 13, 2024, at the Carolinas ContinuousCare Hospital at Pineville in Charlotte leaving a void that will be felt by all who loved him. He was a cherished member of his family and a respected figure in his community.
Anthony dedicated much of his life to the furniture industry, where he worked as a cushion filler at Wesley Hall Furniture. His commitment to his craft mirrored the devotion he held for his loved ones. He was deeply loved and adored by his family, taking immense joy in spending time with them. As a proud "pawpaw," his grandchildren brought him boundless happiness and fulfillment.
In addition to his professional life and family commitments, Anthony found great joy in his hobbies and interests. He had a profound love for Rock-n-Roll music and enjoyed singing karaoke, showcasing his vibrant personality. An avid Elvis fan, his enthusiasm for the King of Rock-n-Roll was evident to all who knew him. His passion for sports shone through as a devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers, and he cherished the trips he took to the mountains, where he found peace and solace in nature.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 31 years, Georgia Byrd Breedlove. Their union was built on a foundation of love and mutual respect. Anthony is also survived by his sons, Anthony Blake Breedlove and Bryson Cole Breedlove (Destini), and his “Baby Girl,” Anna Lea Breedlove, grandchildren Lola, Willow, and Elliot Breedlove; his mother and stepfather Frances Hedrick (Tommy), sister Ginger Gromlovits (Mark), brothers, Dale Hedrick and Jason Hedrick (Kristy); brother-in-law, Dennis Byrd (Melissa), sister-in-law, Joann Walker (Charles). His memory will continue to live on through his nieces, nephews, numerous extended family members, and friends.
Anthony was preceded in death by his father, James Melvin Breedlove, and his father and mother-in-law, George and Evelyn Byrd. Also preceding him were his sisters-in-law, Hilda Nance and Brenda Norris.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service, located at 193 NC-16, Taylorsville, NC 28681. A memorial service will follow in the Alexander Funeral Service Chapel at 2:00 pm. Minister Pandora Richardson will officiate. Inurnment will be with the family.

Anthony Breedlove will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his loving spirit, his dedication to his family, and his zest for life.
