Anthony Andrew Killian, age 24, of Catawba County passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at his residence. He was born on September 12, 1993 in Catawba County to Donald Leonard and Roxanne Evans Killian.
He was of the Lutheran Faith. Anthony was an amazing young man, with a heart of gold, he'd give the shirt off his back. He had 2 nephews that he loved very much and loved his family as well. You would always find him outside doing something, or fixing something, or helping others. We all called him “Big Country”, because he was always in the woods hunting for what ever was in season. But mostly he was at what we call “the big rock” fishing or with his older brother Joe, raising game chickens together. They have blood lines of chickens that were in their family for four generations, since the late 1800’s. Together they were one hell of a mechanic. They worked on lawn mowers, diesel trucks, and drag cars. If you were friends or family, you got yours fixed for free.
He is preceded in death by one brother; Kenneth Killian.
Those left to cherish his memory along with his parents are one brother Joe Evans and wife Ashley of Conover, fiancée; Kayla Blevins, two nephews; Isaiah and Aiden Evans of Taylorsville, one maternal grandmother; Maxine Evans of Conover.
A Graveside service will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery with the Rev. Johnny Shuler.
