Anthony Rhashod McFarland officially known as “Shod”, age 32, of Taylorsville passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 12, 2018 at his residence. Born in Catawba on April 23, 1985, the son of the late Kimble Anthony McFarland and Jewel Gabay McFarland. He will be remembered for his love of wrestling and also his niece and nephews who he loved and cherished very much. Anthony had a big heart and love for everyone. He was a member of St. John’s Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents; maternal grandmother; and an uncle.
Those are left to cherish his memories are two sisters Anitra and Jazmine McFarland, a niece Ariyana McFarland; two nephews Jakaevion & Jakourian McFarland, all of Taylorsville; one uncle Terry McFarland & wife Loretta, of Lenoir; aunts Crystal, Vanessa, Judy, & Stephanie all of Georgia; grandfather Nerval Gabay & wife Myrtle of Florida; his God grandmother Lena Bell Barnes of Taylorsville; Godson Briceson Teague; Angie Romero of Atlanta, GA, who was like a sister; special cousin Pam Lineberger; along with a host of special cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:15 pm at St. John's Baptist Church of Taylorsville and a Memorial Service to celebrate Anthony’s life will follow at 2:30 pm. Inurnment will be with the family.
