Anthony "Tony" Blair,

“Tony” Anthony Clell Blair, age 47, of Taylorsville, passed away on Saturday, October 15th, 2011 at Frye Regional Medical Center.  Tony was born in Henry County, Virginia on May 16th, 1964 to parents Luther Rhodes Blair and Doris Joy Huckaby.  He enjoyed watching football, and also liked to hunt, fish, and play the guitar.  He attended Bethlehem Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his half-brother, Rhodes Blair.  Those left to cherish his memory include his fiancé, Judy Pharr; son, Michael Blair & wife Leah; step-daughter, Danielle Blair; the mother of his son and step-daughter, Cindy Norton; brother, Patrick Blair,  his half-sister, JoAnn Hawkins; grandson, Greyson Patrick Blair; cousins: Anna Donahoe Mick and Vickie Binstead; and his niece, Lara Blair.  Visitation will be conducted on Thursday, October 20th, 2011 at Alexander Funeral Service from 6-7 p.m.  A Memorial Service will follow in the Alexander Funeral Chapel where Rev, Gary Jennings will officiate.  In addition to flowers, the Blair family requests that donations be sent to the Alexander County Animal Shelter @ 116 Waggin Trail, Taylorsville, NC  28681; a charity of the donors choice, (OR) to Alexander County Hospice @ 50 Lucy Echerd Lane, Taylorsville, NC  28681.    Alexander Funeral Service has been entrusted with arrangements.
