Arlene Bare Fox, age 80, of Taylorville, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011, in Frye Regional Med. Ctr. Born May 31, 1930 to the late Creston and Bertha Hurley Bare, in Alexander County, she was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was retired from TransAmerica Financial, after a career of 29 years. She was an avid square dancer and her family was the love of her life. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Dean Bare. She is survived by her husband James D. “J.D.” Fox of the home and two sons: James D. Fox Jr. and wife Debbie of Charlotte, and Jeffrey D. Fox, of Taylorsville. Four grandchildren: Tracy Ginder and husband, Ryan of Mt. Pleasant, Erin Fox and friend Richie Clough of Charlotte, Cody Fox of Taylorsville, Hailey Fox of Taylorsville, and one great grandchild, Elijah Ginder of Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Fox has three brothers: John “JC” Bare of Jacksonville, Fla., Gary Bare and Kenny Bare and wife Vickie, all of Taylorsville. Arlene has a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011 from 12:30-1:45 p.m. at the Macedonia Baptist Church with services at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Rev. Dan Spears will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Ryan Ginder, Rickie Clough, Cody Fox, Travis Poarch, Kenny Bare, and Gary Fox.
