Arlita St.Clair Wike, age 81, of Taylorsville went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Davis Regional Medical Center. Born August 7, 1931 to the late Obie and Pattie Bentley St.Clair. Arlita was retired from Highland House in Hickory where she worked as a Inspector. She was a lifelong member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church and had read her bible through 19 times. She loved her church, family and planting flowers. Including her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers - Herman, Howard and Jessie St.Clair; sister - Pauline Tedder; two infant siblings and granddaughter - April Leann Wike. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Jasper C. Wike of the home; children - Ricky Wike and wife Mavis of Hiddenite, Michael Wike and wife Dean of Granite Falls, Debbie Davis and husband Kelly of Taylorsville and Rodney Wike of Statesville; sisters - Thelma Burgess and husband Max, Lola St.Clair, Myrtle Warren and husband Crimmer all of Taylorsville and Christine Ruploski of Stony Point; grandchildren - Tracy Wike and wife Amy, Jody Wike, Amanda Pope and husband Michael, Amber Wike, Heather Bowman and husband Jimmy, Logan Davis, Justin Wike and wife Ashley and Kristen Wike; seven great grandchildren; special sister-in-law - Lottie Bentley and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. Service will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Yount, Rev. Gary Jennings and Rev. Tony Daniels officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers are Tracy Wike, Jody Wike, Logan Davis, Justin Wike, Michael Pope and Jimmy Bowman. Memorials may be sent to Mt. Hebron Baptist Church @ 16 Mt.
