Barbara Canter Pennell,

Barbara Ann "Bobbi" Canter Pennell, age 61, of Taylorsville, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Friday, May 6, 2016, following a brief illness. Bobbi was born on June 1, 1954 in Alexander County to the late Homer Waitsel and Lillian Lucille Wike Canter. Bobbi was a member of Millersville Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School, was a member of the choir and Good News Club at Wittenberg Elementry. She touched many lives with her kind and giving spirit.

Bobbi leaves to carry on her legacy husband of 34 years, Jerry Lee Pennell of the home, daughter Jessica Pennell of Winston-Salem, son Brian Pennell of Taylorsville, grandson Caden Pennell of Hickory, sister Brenda Bruce of Charlotte, brother Danny Canter of Taylorsville, and a number of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Millersville Baptist Church from 6:00-7:30 pm with the memorial service following visitation at 7:30 pm. The Rev. Bill Orren and Rev. Brian Kerley will be officiating. The family requests that memorials be made to The Good News Club c/o Millersville Baptist Church, 130 Millersville Church Rd, Taylorsville, NC 28681
