Barbara Edwards Burleson,

Barbara Edwards Burleson, age 79 passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at her residence.  She was born in Union County on February 23, 1935 to the late Clemon Alexander and Marjorie Marie Nance Edwards.  She was of the Baptist faith and attended First Baptist Church when able. Those remaining to cherish her memories are two sons:  Patrick A Cleghorn of Badin, NC, and Kelly A Cleghorn of Anniston, AL.  One sister Joan Dole Caviness of Hiddenite; two brothers: Charles “Chuck” Lawrence Edwards and wife Ester of Titusville, FL, and David Andre Edwards and wife Michele of Sherrill’s Ford.  She also leaves behind five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later time in Charlotte.
