Barbara Jane “Missy” Fuller Smith, age 65, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, passed away in Flagler Hospital, St. Augustine, on Monday, January 4, 2016. Born in Charlotte, NC on March 29, 1950 to the late Daniel Bryson Fuller and Helen Little Fuller, who survives, she was a retired real estate agent for Watson Reality. She was a member of East Taylorsville Baptist Church, Taylorsville, NC, before moving to Florida. She was a prolific writer of poetry and short stories, and loved to read. She loved her family and her puppies with a passion. In addition to her father she was preceded by her maternal grandparents, Haslin and Bessie Little, as well as her paternal grandparents, Lon and Martha Fuller. She has lost a number of aunts and uncles to death.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Clarence Smith of the home. A son, Larry Black and wife Marcia of Denver, Colorado. A grandson Josh "Sam" Dailey, two great granddaughters, Elly & Maddie. She has one sister Sheila Tomlin and one brother, Stephen Fuller, both of Taylorsville, who survive Missy. One nephew, Chris Fuller, and two loving pet Chihuahuas, Little Bear & Honey are left to cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at East Taylorsville Baptist Church, from 1-2:00 p.m. with funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Jamie Steele will officiate. Burial will follow in the Liledoun Cemetery. Terry Little, Phil Little, and Vernon Charles as well as Phil Adams will serve as pallbearers.
