Betty Abernethy Davis,

Betty Bartlett Abernethy Davis, age 72, of Mooresville.
On September 18, 2013, our family lost a Daughter, Mother, Grandmother and a friend to many. The gates to Heaven opened up and she passed thru, now with a new body, with no pain and suffering anymore. Betty Lou Bartlett was born to Lura and the late Harold D. Bartlett on October 31, 1940. Betty attended Newell School and graduated from East Mecklenburg High in 1959. Also a graduate of LaMarick Beauty School. She lived and worked in the Charlotte area until 1985 at which time she made her home in Mooresville, NC. Betty is survived by her mother: Lura Whittington Bartlett of Mooresville; son: Shane (Michelle) Abernethy; grandson: Gunner all of Hiddenite, NC; and her extended family: Brenda Furr, Tim (Nicole) Furr and sons, Scotty and Nic. The family would like to Thank the Doctors and Staff in the CCU of Lake Norman Regional Medical Center for the excellent care extended to Betty and her family.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date to celebrate her new life. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Iredell at 2347 Simonton Rd; Statesville, NC 29677.
