Betty Childers Warren of Taylorsville passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.
She was owner and operator of the Casual Corner Beauty Shop for 30 years. The greatest joy of her life was her grandchildren and she enjoyed going to lunch with her girlfriends. She was the daughter of the late Noah Garfield and Dotsie Elizabeth Wike Childers.
Her surviving family members include her husband of 66 years Luke Warren, one daughter Kathryn Warren-Rej and husband Dennis of New York, two brothers Hugh Childers of Taylorsville and Gary Childers of Charlotte, two grandchildren Summer and Warren Rej of New York, and best friends Marsha and husband Allen Bost, Raymond and wife Joanne Kerley, and Jane Teague.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Alexander Funeral Services from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Wednesday, February 11, 2015 also at Alexander Funeral Services. Burial will follow at St. John's Lutheran Church. Rev. Gary W. Jennings and Rev. Dr. William K. Hollar Jr. will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Kent Childers, Thomas Poole, Allen Bost, Raymond Kerley, Earl Neal Wike, Bradley Cline, and Hal Teague.
