Betty Jane Hefner

Betty Jane Fox Hefner, age 84, of Taylorsville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. She was born on February 11, 1932 in Alexander County to the late Charlie and Margie Carrigan Fox. She had worked for Carolina Glove for 53 years and enjoyed baking, canning, and working in her flowers. Betty was a member at Millersville Baptist Church and loved to spend time reading her bible. Including her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Ruel Levon Hefner; brothers: JD Fox & wife Arlene Bare and Conrad Fox; sisters: Lois Fox Icenhour & husband Coie and Nancy Fox Hefner and son-in-law: Wayne Price.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter: Debbie Hefner Price, and son Randy L. Hefner & wife Cindy, of Taylorsville; brother: Gary Fox & wife Diane Stafford Fox of Georgia; sister: Faye Fox Poarch Warlick; grandson: Michael "Mikie" Miller & wife Amanda Cohen Miller; granddaughters: Alli Price, Heidi Collins, Tabatha Hefner, and Summer Hefner, all of Taylorsville; along with a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Millersville Baptist Church. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Millersville Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Orren and Rev. Dan Spears officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. David Martin officiating at the graveside.
