Betty Jean Moose Harrington, 71, of Taylorsville, peacefully entered Heaven*s gate on Tuesday, October 25, surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness.  Born in Alexander County on March 22, 1940 to the late Roby Dawson and Mary Adams Moose, she was a dedicated member of White Plains Baptist Church and had retired from ER Carpenter as a Pattern Clerk.  Ms. Betty was very dedicated to her church and her family and adored her grandchildren.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by six brothers:  Roy, Ray, Wayne, Glenn, Clyde, and Arthur *Red* Moose.   Three sisters:  Christine Adams, Lois Scercy, and Dorothy Elder.  Those who are left to cherish her memories are her husband Robert Harrington; one daughter Brenda Watson and husband Bradley.  Two grandchildren:  Jonathan Brett Watson, and Jeannie Fay Harrington.  Two sisters:  Elaine Patterson and husband Dale; and Irene Earp and husband Winfred *Red*.  Two sisters-in-law:  Elizabeth Moose and Johnsie Moose; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.  Visitation for Mrs. Harrington will be held at Alexander Funeral Service Thursday evening, October 27 from 6 * 7:30 pm.  The funeral service will be Friday, October 28, 2:00pm at White Plains Baptist Church where she will lie-in-state for 30 minutes prior to the service.  Rev. Tony Daniels, and Rev. Elbert Goble will officiate.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family has requested that memorials may be made to the Taylorsville High School Class of *58 Scholarship Fund c/o of Alexander Funeral Service, P O  Box 40, Taylorsville 28681. Arrangements entrusted to Alexander Funeral Service.
