Betty Shepherd Wyatt,

Betty Jo Shepherd Wyatt, age 81, of Taylorsville, passed away at her residence on Saturday, February 6, 2016. Betty was the daughter of the late Floyd F. and Lucille Shepherd. She was born on August 18, 1934 in Wilkes County. Betty attended Rocky Springs Baptist Church. In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, William Paul Wyatt.

She leaves to cherish her memory six sons: William Michael Wyatt of Ellendale, Dwight Franklin Wyatt of Claremont, Jimmy Lee Wyatt, Terry Wayne Wyatt, Timmy Ray Wyatt all of Ellendale, & Jeffery Lynn Wyatt of Taylorsville; two daughters: Paula W. Shelton of Sugarloaf and Pamela W. Kerley & husband Don of North Wilkesboro; one sister Jenny Lovette of Charlotte; ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 12:00-1:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service. The funeral will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 pm. The Rev. Brian Correll will be officiating. Burial will take place in the North Wilkesboro City Cemetery.
