Betty Lou Herman Johnson

Betty Lou Herman Johnson, age 93, born on Thursday, October 8, 1931, in Alexander County, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Amorem Hospice in Caldwell County. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend leaving behind a legacy filled with love, warmth, and cherished memories.

Betty dedicated her life to her family, always placing them at the center of her world. She found joy in spending time with her loved ones, creating special moments that would be remembered forever. She enjoyed sewing, cooking for her family, and was especially known for her pecan pie. Betty was a member of Three Forks Baptist Church.

Her grandsons, Brandon Johnson (Kasey) and Adam Johnson (Renae), along with her great-grandchild, Laney Johnson, were her pride and joy, bringing laughter and happiness into her life. In addition to her role as a devoted family member, Betty also held close ties with her siblings. She is survived by her brother Clyde Herman (Mary Ellen) and her sister Linda Nicholson, who will forever treasure the bond they shared. Betty's family also extends to her numerous nieces and nephews, who will remember her kindness and love.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Wilson Johnson, and her son, Tommy Dale Johnson, both of whom she deeply loved and missed. She is also reunited with her parents, Robert and Anna Herman, and her brother Ned Herman (Kay).

Friends and family are invited to honor Betty's life at the visitation on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, at Three Forks Baptist Church in Taylorsville, NC. A graveside service will follow at 3:15 pm in the Three Forks Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Carson Moseley will officiate.

Betty Johnson will be forever remembered for her unwavering love for her family and the cherished moments they shared. Her spirit continues to live on in the hearts of those she touched, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
