Billie Lee Bentley,

Billie Lee Bentley, age 81, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015 at Frye Regional Medical Center. He was born on Tuesday, December 26, 1933 to the late Clarence and Edith Lowe Bentley in Alexander County. Billie was a lifelong member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and camping.

In addition to his parents Billie was preceded in death by his loving wife Carolyn McCurdy Bentley, and one brother Tommy Bentley & wife Marie.

Billie leaves to carry on his legacy son Terry Bentley and wife Lisa, daughter Kelly Elder and husband Jeff,  two grandsons Devin Bentley and wife Heather, Tyler Bentley and wife Allison, two granddaughters Danielle Block, Chassidy Hicks and husband Jeremy, two great-granddaughters, Bella & Sophia, one great-grandson Chase, one brother Wakefield Bentley and wife Hilda, one sister Marylee Freimanis and husband Andris, and many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service. The funeral service will be held 3:00 pm on Friday, August 7, 2015 at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Yount officiating. The family requests that in addition to flowers memorials be made to the Alzheimer Association, 3800 Shamrock Dr., Charlotte, NC
