Billy James Daniels,

Billy James Daniels, known to everyone as "Goat", age 60, of Taylorsville passed away at his residence on Friday, August 30, 2013. Born on April 1, 1953 in Alexander County to Annie Tevepaugh Daniels and the late James "Jack" Daniels. Billy worked at Mitchell Gold for 10 years and had previously worked at Bassett for 30 years upholstering. He was a member at Three Forks Baptist Church and was in charge of the Radio Ministry. Billy loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed gardening, motorcycles and was a big fan of the Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers and ACHS Football Teams. Besides his father, he is preceded in death by his daughter: Robin Leanne Daniels Behrer; brother: Robert Blaine Daniels; paternal grandmother: Emma Daniels; and maternal grandparents: Reece and Ethel Tevepaugh. In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 37 years: Dianne McKee Daniels of the home; daughters: Angie Rogers and friend Steve Hunt of Taylorsville and Holly Craigie and husband Chris of Greensboro; grandchildren: Christen Smith, Allison Rogers, Tyler Rogers and Madi Behrer; sisters: Bernice Pearson and husband Lonnie and Betty Daniels both of Taylorsville; brothers: Blake Daniels, Bernie Daniels and wife Glenda, Burtt Daniels and wife Susan all of Taylorsville and Britt Daniels and wife Teresa of Statesville; brother and sister-in-law: Wayne and Soney McKee; special aunt: Artie Sue Tevepaugh; special great-aunt: Nora Mitchell; a host of nieces, nephews and so many friends, that can't be numbered.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 5:00 pm - 8:30 pm at Alexander Funeral Service. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Three Forks Baptist Church with the Rev. Carson Mosely officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to service. Serving as Pallbearers will be Blake Daniels, Bernie Daniels, Burtt Daniels, Britt Daniels, Joey Sweet and Travis Treadway.
