Billy James Woodring, age 70, of Taylorsville, passed away at his residence on Saturday, April 23, 2016. Mr. Woodring was born to the late Jake William and Alma Maxizene Phillips Woodring on October 11, 1945 in Watauga county.
Mr. Woodring leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 52 years, Betty Dowell Woodring, children: Annette Keller, Sherrie Yow & husband Randy, Tammy Dickerson, and Billey Woodring & wife Sarah; nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, three sisters, two brothers, and a number of neices, nephews, and special friends.
Visitation will be 1:30-2:30 pm at Oxford Memorial Baptist Church on Thursday, April 28, 2016, with the funeral service following at 3:00 pm. The Rev. Neal Walker will be officiating the service. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
