Bing Friday Sr.,

Bing Franklin Friday Sr., age 76, of Charlotte, passed away on Thursday, December 1st, 2011.  He was born in Gaston County on September 13th, 1935 to parents Edgar Ray and Kathryn Mull Friday.  He attended First United Methodist Church in Mt. Holly where he was a Sunday school teacher and also the Sunday school superintendent in the past.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines.  He married Alma Douglas on November 23rd, 1956.   He was preceded in death by his father.  Those left to cherish his memory in addition to his mother are his wife of 55 years, Alma Friday of the home; their son, Bing Friday Jr. of Charlotte; daughter, Kimberly Shaw of Mt. Holly; 2 brothers: Grayson Friday and Wilson Friday – both of Taylorsville.  He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren: Holland and Abbie Friday, and Mahayla and Patience Shaw.  Visitation will be conducted on Sunday, December 4th, 2011 at Alexander Funeral Service from 2:00 – 2:45 P.M.  Service will follow at 3:00 P.M. inside the Alexander Funeral Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Taylorsville City Cemetery where William Shaw, Rick Broome, Lloyd Friday, Frankie Friday, Burke Friday, Michael Douglas, Steven Douglas and Ron Yount will serve as pallbearers.   Alexander Funeral Service of Taylorsville has been entrusted with arrangements.
