Bobbie-Jean Barnes Odom

Bobbie-Jean Barnes Odom, age 47, of the Bethlehem Community passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 26, 2017 after an automobile accident. She was born on May 4, 1970, the daughter of the late Mary Ann Carrie Barnes. Bobbie-Jean had previously worked for Walmart in Taylorsville, PVH of Jonesville, and for Tyson. She was a loving mother and friend to all, and even though her life has been taken too shortly, she will forever be in our hearts. Along with her mother, she is preceded in death by her grandmother: Ajie Mae Barnes and aunt: Joyce Lee Clanton.


Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Carrie Barnes Sumpter, and Jonathan & Ronald Dale Odom, all of Bethlehem; grandchildren: Destiny, Carson, Piper, Gabireal, and Lukas; aunt: Linda Barnes Baity, of Taylorsville; along with a number of cousins.


The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service and a Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Inurnment will be with the family.
