Bobbie Lee Williams Stewart, age 95, passed away at Valley Nursing Center in Taylorsville, on Thursday evening, April 19, 2012.  She was born on May 5, 1916, in Alexander County, to the late J.O. and Rebecca Bear Williams. She had attended both Mt. Wesley Wesleyan and Beulah Baptist Church during her lifetime. Mrs. Stewart had moved from Alexander Co. to West Chester/Oxford, Pennsylvania between 1941-1975.  She returned to Alexander Co. and has lived in Taylorsville since the early 80’s.  She was always willing to help others and would give you all she had, free heartedly. She especially loved children and babies.  They were never a stranger to her. Her hobbies included flowers and feeding the birds.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Posey, one son Grady Rector and a son-in law Tom Posey.  As well as all her siblings, Margaret Fisher, Fallie Keever, Bessie Poindexter, Pauline McGee, Ruby Elam, Avery, Grant and Richard Williams. Mrs. Stewart also lost a granddaughter Brenda Posey in 1971.  She is survived by one son Randall and wife Fannie Rector of Taylorsville. A daughter-in-law Mary Rector of Taylorsville.  Nine grandchildren, Grady Rector, Jr. and wife Cindy, Charlie Ray Rector and wife Marya, Dennis Rector, Ricky Rector and wife Melissa, Tommy Posey, Jr. and wife Judy, Sharron Hyue and husband Danny,  Harlan Rector and wife Tasha, Rita Mitchell and husband Rickey and Debbie Rector.  She had 18 great-grandchildren, as well as 9 great-great grandchildren. There is also a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Alexander Funeral Service on Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Funeral Services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 3:00pm with Rev. Scott Atkins and Rev. Steve Dagenhart officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Wesley Church Cemetery.
