Bobby Dean Carrigan, 81 of Taylorsville, NC passed away peacefully on March 25, 2025, at his home.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two siblings at birth, Ronnie Dale and Shelia Ann Carrigan; his paternal grandparents, Gus and Lovie Carrigan and maternal grandparents Chase and Luda Bostian.
Those left to cherish and honor his memories is his devoted wife of almost 58 years, Priscilla Goforth Carrigan. He is also survived by his three children, Bradley Carrigan of the home, Darrin Carrigan and wife, Beverly, of Taylorsville and Monika Woodruff and husband, Robert, of Mooresville. Bobby had four precious grandchildren, Rebekah and Elijah Carrigan of Taylorsville and Jadyn and Derek Woodruff of Mooresville. He will be missed by his devoted and very spoiled “Best Friend”, Max. He is also survived by two sisters, Wanda Bentley and husband Harvey, and Brenda Price, both of Taylorsville; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Sharon Goforth; Donnie and Patsy Goforth; Ronnie and Renee Goforth; a number of nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and a very special Uncle, Donald Smith.
Bobby served in the US Army from 1965 to 1967. He spent 18 months in Kessel, Germany. After the army he worked for BEA Staple, an officer at the Alexander Correctional Institution in Taylorsville and he later retired from Alexander County Sanitation Department.
He attended East Taylorsville Baptist Church. He was a member of the Apple City Street Rodders Car Club for over 30 years.
One of his most proud accomplishments was his beautiful, modern day vintage log cabin. He reconstructed a 200+ year old cabin from Hickory to a perfectly peaceful and serene spot in front of his pond. He loved to take Max and just sit on the porch and enjoy nature. He also loved to invite friends and family over to the cabin for a fish fry.
