Bobby Kent Lackey

Bobby Kent Lackey, age 78, of Taylorsville, passed away at Sherrills Ford Catawba Regional Hospice on October 23, 2016. Bobby was born in Caldwell County on February 7, 1938 to the late Boyd and Nellie Keller Lackey. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Bobby was a hard working and generous man. He enjoyed going to the Flea Market. Bobby loved and took care of his entire family.
In addition to his parents Bobby was preceded in death by three brothers: George, Tommy, & Buddy Lackey; and one sister, Estelle Fox.
Bobby leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 51 years, Jeanette Teague Lackey, one daughter, Cynthia Tucker & special friend Alan Wagner, one granddaughter, Ashlie Walker & husband Kelly, three great grandsons: Bryson Weikle and Kolton & Kason Walker, and Bryson's Dad Kevin Weikle, one brother, Clyde Lackey, two sisters: Melba White and Bezzie Myers; and a number of nieces, nephews, and special friends.
The Visitation will be Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 2:00-3:30 pm at Alexander Funeral Service. The funeral will follow at 3:30 pm in the Chapel. The Rev. Mark Morris will be officiating. Burial will take place in the Antioch Baptist church cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Rd, Newton, NC 28658
