Bobby Ray Bebber, age 84, passed away at Lenoir Health Care, on Thursday, July 16, 2015. He was born on Tuesday, February 24, 1931 to the late Van Dorn Bebber and Nina Estelle Bebber Stafford in Rowan County.
Bobby was of the Baptist faith, and loved his family, fishing & hunting. Bobby served for 6 years in the U.S. Army Reserves during the Korean War. He was employed by Coble Dairy for 16 years and later retired from Hoffman Paving Company.
In addition to his parents Bobby was preceded in death by his former wife Wanda Walker Bebber, and sister Evelyn Fox.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Martha Hoffman and husband David, of Lenoir, two brothers Harold Bebber, of Hiddenite, Coy Bebber and wife Audrey, of Oklahoma, grandson Joseph Hoffman and wife Lisa, of Lenoir, granddaughter Jenny Coffey and husband Clint, of Boone, great granddaughter Josie Hoffman of Lenoir, and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Alexander Funeral Service from 1:30-2:30 pm. A Graveside service will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir at 3:15 pm. The Rev. Robert Livingston and Rev. Stuart White will be officiating. Pallbearers will include; David Hoffman, Joseph Hoffman, Clint Coffey, Steve Fox, and Jerry Fox. The family requests that in addition to flowers that memorials be made to Caldwell County Hospice.
