Bobby Allen Taylor, Jr., age 39, of Taylorsville, passed away at his residence, unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016. Born in Caldwell county to Bobby Allen Taylor Sr., of Granite Falls and Teresa Jean Weaver, of Morganton, on April 16, 1977, Bobby was a member of Shining Light Baptist Church, in Taylorsville. Bobby was an emergency medical technician with the Emergency Medical Services in Caldwell county. He was also a Lieutenant with the Sugar Loaf Fire Department and a member of the Vashti Fire Department. He always wanted to be a firemen, following in his family's footsteps. "Helping people was his goal in life."
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Glen E. and Jane Taylor and maternal grandparents, Willard D. and Rebecca Moss Weaver.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of five years, Samantha Shea Bentley Taylor of the home. He leaves a daughter, Cierra, of the home and a son, Nicholas, of Merrietta, GA. Bobby has one sister, Janie Taylor Hildebran of Lenoir. He is remembered by his step dad, Ken Patrick of Morganton and step mother Tammy Taylor, of Granite Falls. He has six nephews and ten nieces, as well as all his brothers and sisters in emergency servcies.
Visitation will be Sunday evening, Oct. 9, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Service in Taylorsville, with funeral services on Monday, Oct. 10 at 2:00 p.m. at East Taylorsville Baptist Church, with burial following at the Shining Light Baptist Church Cemetery, Black Oak Ridge Rd. Taylorsville. Pastors Mike and Steve Cothren and Chaplain Nicky Waters will officiate. Active and honorary pallbearers will be members of all emergency services.
