Brett Charles Workman, age 26, of Bethlehem, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Cabell County, West Virginia on July 7, 1987 to John Ellzey Workman II and Mona Faye Charles Workman. Brett attended Cross Point Church and he participated in the Walk in Roll Program for people with abilities, which he loved. Also, he enjoyed bowling, t-ball, proms, parties and whatever everyone else does which the program provided for him. The Walk in Roll Program was his favorite club. Brett was awarded outstanding senior in 2008 at ACHS and he was currently enrolled at CVCC in Alexander County. He attended Alexander Opportunities and Special Olympics which he enjoyed very much, and he also attended the State Special Olympics. He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, John E. Workman I; maternal grandfather, Orion Douglas Charles; and aunt: Susan Charles. Those left to cherish Brett's memory include his father and mother, of the home; brothers: Jason Workman and wife Rochelle of Morgantown, WVA, Brandon Workman of Houston, TX, twin brother, Anthony Workman of Wilmington, NC; paternal grandmother: Geneva Workman of Charleston, WVA; maternal grandmother: Dora Charles of Asheboro, NC; niece and nephew: Soey Workman and Zackary Workman of Morgantown, WVA; along with a number of aunts and uncles, cousins, and many special friends.

Visitation will be on Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 2:00 pm to 3:45 pm at ACHS auditorium. The service will follow  at 4:00 pm with the Rev. Chris Meade officiating. Burial will take place on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Mingo Cemetery in Mace, WVA. Pallbearers include John Workman, Brandon Workman, Anthony Workman, and Jason Workman.
