Carl Frederick Milholland

Carl Frederick Milholland, age 80, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Frye Regional Medical Center in Catawba County. He was born to the late Frederick Milholland and Sarah Cook Milholland on Thursday, September 9, 1943, in Alexander County. Mr. Milholland was a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. Carl enjoyed fishing, working on racecars, going to dances, and carpentry work. He also enjoyed traveling, especially going to the beach and Pigeon Forge. Carl loved his family dearly and cherished spending time with them.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Milholland, and an infant brother.

Those left to cherish the memories of Carl include his children, Cathy Brown, Jeff Milholland, and Carla Mills (John); grandchildren, Jordan Brown (Chelsey), Keely Brown, Alonna McKaba, Joshua Mills (Rebekah), and Christopher Mills; great-grandson, Carlson Brown.

Mr. Milholland will lie in state on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Alexander Funeral Service from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The graveside service will be Monday, October 9, 2023, in the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church Cemetery at 12:00 pm. Rev. Bradley Anderson will officiate.
