Carolyn Lorene Brawley

Carolyn Lorene Hines Brawley, age 74, of Taylorsville passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 at her residence. Born on January 22, 1946 in Iredell County, the daughter of the late William Jefferson and Hazel Lorene Dagenhart Hines. During her career, Carolyn worked at Frye Hospital as a custodian. She was a member at St. John’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed catering and traveling to the mountains. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Richard Brawley.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Ann Green & husband Bobby; son Jr. Payne; sister Patsy Rhyne; brother Danny Hines; grandchildren Dale Green and Heather Smithey; and two great-grandchildren Camri & Kade Smithey.

Funeral service for Carolyn will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 3:30 pm at Alexander Funeral Service with the Rev. Gary Jennings officiating. A private graveside service will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be James Elledge, Jr. Payne, Dion Hines, Terry Smith, Dale Green, and Mike Jolly.
