Carolyn Evalena Ramsey Frazier, age 64, of Hiddenite, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, in Iredell Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Born on Nov. 12, 1946 to the late Lemuel John and Thelma Christine Fox Ramsey, in Lincoln Co. NC, she was retired from Southern Devices. Carolyn was a member of Millersville Baptist Church and had attended Oak Wood Baptist. She was an avid reader, loving Christian literature and especially anything Amish. Mrs. Frazier was especially fond of her three feline friends. “She loved her cats.” In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and sister: Jerry Ramsey and Nancy Ramsey Arrwood. She is survived by her husband of forty-five years, James Henry “Jim” Frazier of the home, as well as a daughter, Sue Frazier Watts and husband, Bernerd, of Taylorsville. Two granddaughters, Katy Frazier of Taylorsville and Brittany Frazier of Hiddenite. Carolyn has a sister, Barbara Ramsey Harold and husband Barry of Bethlehem and three brothers: Johnny Ramsey and wife Mabel of Taylorsville, Lewis Ramsey and wife, Jennalee of Taylorsville, and Larry Ramsey and wife Linda of Hiddenite. She has a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Frazier has three special friends, Patty Frazier, Kathy Chapman and Deborah Jordan. Visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011 from 1:30-2:45 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Service with a memorial service in the chapel of the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Eddie Jolly and Rev. Barry Harrell  officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 22 Kendra Lane, Taylorsville, NC 28681. Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service has been entrusted with arrangements.
