Carrie Jean McCoy Jansen, age 79, of Moravian Falls, passed away on Monday, April 11th, 2011 at her home. She was born on August 7th, 1931 in Kemper County, Mississippi to parents Marshall Milton and Mary Elizabeth Phillips McCoy. She spent 11 ½ years as a CNA. Carrie was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Alice Guili, Ouida Intorcio, and Nell Taylor. Those left to cherish her memory are her 5 sons: Dale & wife Sandra of Tucson, Arizona; Gary & wife Marti of Greeneville, Tennessee; Larry & wife Chris of Cohasset, California; Eric & wife Sue of Effort, Pennsylvania; and Tass & wife Angie of Hiddenite. Also, her sister Ruth & husband Bob Sadler of Council Bluffs, Iowa; her former husband, Roger Jansen of Cohasset, California; and 6 grandchildren: Alexis O’Donnell & husband Mo of New Mexico, and Maren Jansen of Arizona; Vanessa & Miranda Jansen of Hiddenite; Brian Jansen of Pennsylvania; and Vann Jansen of California. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday night, April 14th, 2011 from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. at Alexander Funeral Service. Graveside interment services will be held at a later time in the Isney Cemetery in Isney, Alabama.
