Catherine Pauline Sigmon,

Catherine Pauline Sigmon, age 100 passed away in her home on Monday, April 18th, 2011.  She was born October 21st, 1910 in Catawba County to the late Edgar Theodore and Claudia Elizabeth Starnes Sigmon.  She took care of children in her home for many years and she was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Conover where she enjoyed participating with the Quilters Group. In addition to her parents, those preceding her in death were three brothers; Clifford, Ernest and Darvin Sigmon and one sister Ethel Dellinger. She leaves behind one sister, Grace Kincaid of Conover and a number of nephews and nieces, great-nephews and nieces, great-great nephews and nieces, and friends. Visitation for will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church on Thursday, April 21s,  2011 at 2 pm, with the Funeral Services at 4 pm.  Pastor Paul Birner and Pastor Matthew Schilling will officiate.   Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be forwarded to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church at 6175 St. Peters Church Rd, Conover, NC  28601 and/or Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC  28658.   The Sigmon family has entrusted Alexander Funeral Service with arrangements.
