Charles Montgomery Beall, age 77, born on Tuesday, January 7, 1947, in Montgomery, Maryland, passed away peacefully at his home in Iredell County on Thursday, December 19, 2024. He was surrounded by the love of his family and cherished friends in his final moments.

A devoted husband for 54 years, Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Phyllis Beall. He embraced his role as a father to two sons, Charles Beall (Christi) and Kevin Beall (Lauren), and delighted in being a grandfather to his grandchildren, Charles W. Beall (Tami), Elizabeth Cloer (Colby), William Beall, and Addie Beall. Additionally, he was proud to have two great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy. Family was a cornerstone of Charles's life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Charles leaves behind his cherished sisters, Cindy Purdum and Dianne Scott (Rick), along with close friends, Larry Merson and Ray Timm. He will be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

Charles's early career as a computer programmer at the esteemed John Hopkins Lab showcased his intellect and passion for technology. His commitment to his country was evident as he proudly served in the United States Army, representing the values of dedication and honor.

Beyond his professional achievements, Charles found joy in various hobbies and interests. He was an avid fisherman and had a profound love for all sports, activities that often brought him closer to his family and friends. His warm personality shone bright within his community, where he was an active member of Stony Point Baptist Church and Living Waters in Stony Point.

Including his parents, Douglas Huntington and Elizabeth Hobbs Beall, Charles is also preceded in death by his brother, Douglas Beall, and his sister, Ann McAlister.

No services are planned at this time. Inurnment will be with the family.
