Charles Hunter Wells

October 27, 1946 — March 3, 2020

Charles Hunter Wells, 73, left his home in Taylorsville, NC to be with Jesus on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. He was born in Washington, DC. To Charles Henry & Nellie H J G Wells. He was a former employee for the Lucent Technologies phone Company CWA Local # 2809 in Maryland. He proudly served in US Airforce during Vietnam. He was an Active member at Taylorsville First Baptist Church and actively participated in the American Legion and Alexander County Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Genevieve Ann Wells; Three children Charles P. Wells ( Jennifer ) of Pelzer, SC, Donald Wells ( Jane ) of Lanham, MD, Ann Hucks ( Mark ) of Liberty, NC; Seven grandchildren, Scott, Chad , Dylan, Cady, Charles David, Travis, and Harley; also survived by nine great grandchildren that he loved and adored. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in his honor to Alexander County Lions Club in Taylorsville, NC.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 1:30 pm – 2:45 pm at Alexander Funeral Service. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be held later at Parklawn Memorial Park in Rockville, MD.
