Charles William Little, 78, of Taylorsville passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born to the late Mack I. and Ethel Mays Little on August 13, 1934 in Alexander County. He started out in the furniture industry but later worked for CBM Construction as a Construction Superintendant. Charles was a life loving member of Liledoun Baptist Church, working extensively on the earlier buildings. He was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Charles M. Little, Jr.; his sister, Willena Faye Harkey and grandson, Charles Boone Suddreth. Those left to cherish his memory include his son Clyde Little, of Taylorsville; two daughters - Christy L. Fox and husband Chris, of Conover and Cynthia Little, of Taylorsville; Jean Little, the mother of his children; a special friend, Effie White; four sisters - Marilyn London, of Charlotte; Deanna Connelly and husband Junie, of Hiddenite; Mary Alice Mayberry and husband Leo, of Hiddenite and Patsy Warren and husband Rodney, of Taylorsville; two brothers - Creel Little and wife Karen, of Taylorsville and Dale Little and wife Cathy, of Bethlehem; grandchildren - Tony Little, Wilma Little, Cheyenne Mays, Cody Elder, Cooper Fox and Calyssa Little; great grandchild - Breanna Matlock; along with a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 from 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm at Liledoun Baptist Church and the service will begin at 2:30 pm with Rev. James Lockee officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Liledoun Baptist Church at 2487 Liledoun Rd; Taylorsville, NC 28681.
