Cindy Gwaltney Wessollek, born in Alexander County on January 28, 1959, passed away on July 31, 2024, in Forsyth County after a short battle with cancer. She was known for her career in staging for Mitchell Gold and Broyhill, where she showcased her talent and creativity.

 Throughout her life, Cindy cherished various memories that brought her joy. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, whether it was going to the pool together or nurturing her beautiful garden filled with colorful flowers. Cindy also found delight in visiting Carowinds and watching Dirt Track racing, finding excitement and entertainment in these experiences.

 Cindy Gwaltney Wessollek was preceded in death by her parents, Efird Durant and Drusilla Sweet Gwaltney, as well as her brother Eddie Dean Gwaltney. 

 She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years Karl Wessollek and their daughters Renea Stamey (Aaron) and Amber Walley (Shannon), along with sons Bryan Adkins and Wesley Adkins (Jennifer). Cindy is also remembered by her brothers Gary (Wanda), David (Linda), and Jimmy (Dora) Gwaltney.

 She leaves behind a legacy of love and care with her grandchildren: April Adkins, Keegan Jolly, Brynna Adkins, Noah Walley, Kayson Stamey, Andii Stamey, and Wyatt Walley. Additionally, Cindy will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends whose lives she touched with kindness.

 Cindy Gwaltney Wessollek's warm spirit and adventurous nature will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace knowing that she was truly cherished by many.

 A private service will be held a later date.
