Clara Louise Smith,

Clara Louise Smith, age 82, of Stony Point, passed away on November 16, 2014 at her residence. Born to the late Clifton Dewitt and Lilian Barlowe Elder, on June 16, 1932 she was a Research Librarian for R.J. Reynolds Research Department for thirty years. She was a member of Carson's Chapel United Methodist Church and was an avid crossword fan, loved camping and played in putt-putt tournaments.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Smith and two siblings; Harold Elder and Brenda Warren.
Louise is survived by one sister, Lara Neal Rector and husband E.D. of Stony Point, and one sister in law, Bobby Elder of Taylorsville, and one brother in law, Kenneth Warren of Hiddenite. She has a number of nieces and nephews. Woman's best friend Toby will miss her master.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014, from 12:30 pm -1:30 pm at Alexander Funeral Service and memorial services will be held at 1:30 pm in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Larry Scott officiating. Inurnment will be with the family.
