Clara Nicholson Barlowe, age 65, of Taylorsville, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Gordon Hospice House. Clara was born on Monday, August 14, 1950 to the late Onie Lee and Wanese Lucille Millsaps Nicholson in Iredell County . She was of the Baptist faith, she specialized in many trades and enjoyed her family and grandson above all.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Dennis William Nicholson.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 38 years, Roger Barlowe of the home, daughter Lisa Ferguson of Hiddenite, son Jeffrey Kerley of Minnesota, step daughter DeAnn Canter and husband Michael of Taylorsville, grandchildren; Zachary Ferguson, step-grandchildren Dakota Brown, Jordan Canter, and one great granddaughter Peyton Brown, sister Tona Burgess and husband Gary of Taylorsville, and a number of nieces, nephews, and a very special best friend Susan Lydick Greene.
The memorial service will be Monday, September 28, 2015 at 4:00 pm in the Alexander Funeral Service Chapel. The family requests that instead of flowers that memorials be made to Gordon Hospice House, 2347 Simonton Rd., Statesville, NC 28677
