Connie "CW" Harrington,

Connie Mack “CM” Harrington, age 76, of Taylorsville, passed away at Catawba Valley Hospice on Tuesday evening, November 29th, 2011.  He was born in Alexander County on March 7th, 1935 to parents Edward Dwight Harrington and Gladys Elizabeth Duncan Harrington Walder.  He was a member of East Taylorsville Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harry Gilbert Harrington.  Those left to cherish his memory include his 2 sons: Keith Edward Harrington of Spruce Pine, and Gary Allen Harrington and wife Sheila of Leland; 2 daughters: Cynthia Elizabeth Burket & special friend Jimmy Huffman of Taylorsville, and Sabrena Rae Schmitt and husband Karl of Taylorsville; brother, James Ray Harrington and wife Helen of Winston-Salem; sister, Kay Buchanan and husband Roger, also of Winston-Salem; 6 grandchildren: Nicholas Warren of Sebring, FL, Joshua Warren and fiancé Valerie of Taylorsville, Christina Harrington Wishon and husband Jody of Wishon, Scotty Harrington and fiancé Jessica of Charlotte, Zachary Burket of Hickory, and Ian Schmitt of Taylorville.  He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, 4 great-grandchildren, and his special friend, Wayne Roberts and wife Jo of Jonesville, TN.  Visitation will be conducted on Thursday, December 1st, 2011 at Alexander Funeral Service from 6:30 – 8:30 P.M.  The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 2nd, in the Alexander Funeral Service Chapel at 1:00 P.M. where Rev. Gary Jennings will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Harrington Family Cemetery.  In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to the Harrington Cemetery Fund: c/o Wayne Harrington.  4111 Three Forks Church Road, Taylorsville NC  28681.  Alexander Funeral Service has been entrusted with arrangements.  “When I die, bury me deep.
