Cynthia Joyce Pope Bolick

Cynthia Joyce Pope Bolick, age 70, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023, at her residence in Alexander County. She was born to the late Samuel Pope and Elsie Best Pope on Tuesday, November 25, 1952, Catawba County. During her working career Mrs. Bolick worked as a sewer for Hancock & Moore. She was a member of Crosspoint Church and helped with preschoolers on Sunday mornings. Cynthia enjoyed dancing, movies, sewing, gardening, Christmas lights, and going to the beach.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Dale Bolick; sisters, Pamela Spencer and Sheila Pope.

Those left to cherish the memories of Cynthia include her daughter, Stacie Bolick Guidry (Brian); son, Chad Wayne Bolick; sisters, Linda Pope DiFabio, Geraldine Pope Fox, Sandra Pope Reed (Ralph), Teresa Pope Huffman (Rick); brothers, Mark Pope (Audrey), Mikael Pope (Lisa); grandchildren, Samantha Bolick (Jordon Pengraph), Sabrina Bolick, Allison Koenig; great-grandchildren, Coraline Pengraph; caretaker, Gina Lockard; and a number of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

A visitation will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Alexander Funeral Service from 2:00 pm – 2:45 pm. The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023, in the Alexander Funeral Service Chapel at 3:00 pm. Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery. Rev. Jesse Bowles will officiate. Mikael Pope, Jordon Pengraph, Kyle Bolick, Clyde Starnes, Jeff Mast, Billy Mash, and Allen Fox will serve as pallbearers.
