Cynthia "Cindy" Diane Steele

Cynthia “Cindy” Diane Raymond Steele, age 46, of the Bethlehem Community left this world for her final flight home on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Duke University Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 13, 1971, the daughter of Diane Kindred Raymond and the late Robert Leroy Raymond. Cindy was self-employed as a nail tech and a member of Millersville Baptist Church. Anytime she could travel, especially cruises, she would go no matter where it was. She had a special love for her family, especially her grandsons and watching them play ball. Cindy was also an avid movie goer. She was a precious jewel in this world who will forever be in our hearts. Along with her father she is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Raymond & Georgia Jowers.

Along with her mother, those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 31 years Jeff Steele of the home; daughter Briattany Lail & husband William of Bethlehem; son Ryan Steele of Hickory; two grandsons Maddox & Kaysen Lail of Bethlehem; sister Angie Kemp of Mt. Pleasant; several nieces and nephews; along with her special friend Lisa McCoy of Conover.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm at East Taylorsville Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Jamie Steele officiating. Burial will follow at Millersville Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers is Jeff Steele, Ryan Steele, William Lail, Randy Lail, Paul Jowers, Michael Kirby, Bryan Hoge, and Ethan Hoge.
